Chassis 875372 is an extraordinarily correct and authentic example of the early E-Type roadster fitted with its original engine block and head. This particular car is an extremely rare flat floor roadster with outside locking catches and welded louvered panels. 875372 rolled off the Jaguar production line on the 22nd of August 1961 and was originally supplied to Jaguar Cars, New York and sold new to Mr R.G Grant of Tacoma, Washington and then later resided in California in the 1960s.

The owner reports that the car underwent a very considerable degree of restoration some 15 years ago and was completely stripped and sand blasted. During the rebuild the front suspension was stripped, repaired where necessary and rebuilt. The gearbox was upgraded to a 4 speed all-synchro unit (a very worthwhile change from a driving point of view) and all brightwork was re-chromed. The interio
