The Bentley Arnage was launched in 1998, a large luxury saloon car that replaced the previous Bentley Turbo saloon. Built by Bentley Motors in Crewe, from 1998 to 2009, the Arnage and its Rolls-Royce sibling named the Silver Seraph, were introduced in the Spring of 1998 and were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980 when the Silver Spirit and Mulsanne models were introduced. The new Arnage was to be powered by a BMW V8 engine with Cosworth-engineered twin-turbo chargers and was designated the 'Arnage Green Label' and the Seraph was to employ a BMW V12 engine. The 'Arnage Red Label' was launched in October 1999 and the engine reverted back to Bentley power using the traditional V8 engine with a displacement of 6750cc.

With a modest 39600 on its odometer this Bentley Arnage gives an impression of unmolested integrity. We are told by the vendor that this particular car drives perfectly. Under load the engine retains its smoothness, pulling strongly and silently through almost invisible gear changes. Even under spirited driving this car maintains its composure, while the brakes are reported to operate with superb urgency. All warning lights go out immediately from start and the super smooth V8 soon settles to an almost whisper like idle.

The famous front grill is superbly presented and is matched by the sharp looking bright work that really gives this cars its substantial presence.

The interior is reported to be in first class condition throughout, all veneer wood is beautifully crafted and finished and is matched by acres of beautiful magnolia leather that shows little sign of wear, the rear seating looking as if they have barely been used over the years. Likewise the carpets have survived well, all dials spring to life at the turn of a button.
