An historically important ornate gold and platinum cigarette case presented by Emperor Haile Salassie I, the Lion of Judah (b. July 23, 1894), to astronaut Leroy Gordon Cooper on his post-Gemini world tour in 1966. In original fitted leather case with gold tooling to the lid.
Size of cigarette case: 4 x 3 x .5 in. (10 x 8 x 1.5 cm). Size of presentation case: 5 x 4 x 1.25 in. (13 x 10 x 3 cm).
