We offer this nice Volkswagen T1 with 23 windows, with new interior and new bottom. This van has had a lot of work done to the bodywork and the bottom is ready for years to come!

The bottom of this original VW T1 from Brazil was restored in 2022. A lot of work has been done to the bottom, various bad parts have been replaced with new metal. Afterwards, the bottom was painted in colour.

This is not an original Samba but a replica with the 23 sun windows and a newly installed sliding roof. The various chrome details, the roof rack with side steps and the chrome VW logo on the front lend this van a fine look.

During spray-painting, the engine, gearbox and petrol tank were removed. These have all been loose and checked. Please view the photos. These were put back after a check. This T1 has the well-known air-cooled 1500-cc engine and runs fine, the transmission shifts well. The brakes have been loose and fitted with new brake shoes. However, things still need to be adjusted and adapted to European requirements.

Inside the van, the driver's cabin is painted in blue. You will also find the authentic condition inside, which has been fitted with a completely new interior. The new interior consists of newly upholstered front seats and two newly upholstered back seats. Everything in fine lotus-white colour. New door panels have been installed, new floor mats, a new headliner and, of course, a folding roof that can be opened. The nice curtains and roof rack complete this van.

This van has had major work: the bottom and interior of this van have been completely renewed, engine and gearbox have been checked. The condition of the van is as befits a 50-year-old van. Do not expect a perfect T1, but one with some cracks, paint / lacquer with patina, a sagging door and also some emerging rust or old rubbers. Therefore condition 3 to 4. Unfortunately, the petrol meter does not work and the cylinders of the door locks are missing (doors close, but need new cylinders before they can be locked). Advantage: this van is from 1965, which means that it has to meet considerably fewer admission requirements than the T1 vans from 1972-1975.

This van was imported from Brazil and still has a Brazilian registration. All import duties were paid and customs papers will be included of course. The van is being sold "as is".
