Beschreibung

This classic car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button. .Car found in a garage, stopped for many years.
Colour wise, it looked as in the photos so it was decided to keep it in such state of preservation by protecting the whole bodywork with a transparent protective layer that would "freeze" and maintain the car’s current state for many years.
Aesthetic wise, the car shows many defects but this is what makes it fully original.
It may seem a Rat look but in reality nothing has been done except for the application of a protective polish.

Car bought at a Dealership in Forlì (see original label still attached on the rear bonnet) and never sold again. After the owner’s death, the registration was cancelled and never used again: so it obviously appears to have had a sole owner.

General service done for fuel pump, brakes, brake pump, front drums grinding, etc. for a cost of €2,170 (see invoice in the photo).
It shows some small losses and gear bushings may need to be replaced.
The electrical system needs to be checked.

A bit of history:
It is not so easy to come across a "Weltmeister" Beetle. On the occasion of the most important rallies, owning one of these Beetles is equivalent to securing a coveted recognition and the presentation of the "Weltmeister" to the entire audience as if it were a star of the jet-set! Few are the lucky owners of this very rare model, produced from February 17 to March 31 1972 in only 5000 units, on the occasion of the historic overtaking in the total number of cars of the same model, a record until that day owned by the equally legendary American Ford T. The legendary record of 15,007,034 units had finally been broken by Volkswagen! This special series is published in every motor-based magazine or volume and is universally recognized as Volkswagen icon.

The car will be sold with a certificate of lawful origin and will be delivered with license plates in such a way that the buyer can safely put it back on the street both in Italy and abroad.
No inspection has been obviously carried out.

It can be viewed in Forlì, Italy.
IT IS ADVISABLE TO VIEW THE CAR AS IT IS VERY PARTICULAR IN ITS KIND, AND IT MAY LOOK DIFFERENT IN REAL LIFE AS FROM THE PHOTOS.
