The Beetle was one of history's cars. The Typ 1 as it was originally known started life thanks to the intuition of Ferdinand Porsche, who had to design a 'car for the people' that was reliable, fast and economical. Designed to be aerodynamic and fuel efficient, the Beetle went into production in 1938 but with Germany's entry into the war, examples were produced for military use and as cars for high-ranking officers. After the end of the conflict, the Beetle experienced unprecedented success: more than 20 million examples were produced until 2003.
From known history, the first owner of this beautiful 1963 Beetle was a country priest. Restored over the years and in mint condition, this 1200 Beetle is highly original and ready to drive. Owned by the same collector for almost 30 years, it is in excellent condition and shows some signs of continued use. Functioning and with its original interior, it is a true 'fun car' because of the unique character that has always distinguished this great car. Still fitted with its black Mantua number plates and second registration, it is one of the most interesting Volkswagens currently on the market.
