Where the original GTI (Mk1) had already sparked a revolution, Volkswagen managed to set the standard once again with the Golf Mk2 GTI in the hot hatchback segment.
Launched in 1984 and produced until 1992, the Golf Mk2 GTI is renowned for its refinement, reliability and unrivalled driving experience. It grew bigger, stiffer and more powerful than its predecessor, without losing its playful character. This generation of GTI became a true icon within the motoring world and is regarded today as a collector's item with lasting value, especially in exceptional original condition.

This particular example, a Volkswagen Golf Mk2 GTI from June 1989, is a rare find of exceptional quality. With only 58,028 documented kilometres, this GTI is in as-new condition, a state that is rarely encountered in a car now carrying more than thirty years of history.
The car was acquired directly from an extensive private collection in Germany, the country where it was first registered in 1989. It proudly wears its complete original paint in the factory colour Heliosblau, a shade that suits the sporty yet understated character of the Mk2 GTI perfectly. The interior, finished in grey cloth, is just as fresh and cared-for as the day it left the factory.
