We are proud to present this recently fully restored and mechanically overhauled Volvo P1800E. In 1971 the car was originally supplied to the States. This late Volvo P1800E features a number of agreeable technical improvements in comparison to earlier P1800 versions. This P1800E has amongst other features disc brakes all around and Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection.

This car underwent a full “Nut & Bolt” restoration. The dismantled car’s bodywork was taken back to bare metal and repaired where needed. After that the car was resprayed in the gorgeous white you now see before being reassembled using many new parts. The whole car now looks a picture. The nice and thin panelwork has correct alignments. Most of the brightwork is new and fits nicely. The car has wonderful Rostyle rims shod in correctly sized rubber.

The interior contrast beautifully with the white exterior. Inside it is a sea of red leather and carpets. All work has been carried out to a high standard. The carpets have a snug fit and the leather is in very good condition. The eye for detail shows itself again on inspecting the boot space with its new boot matt matching the rest of the car’s interior in style. The fine Smith gauges feature nicely in the dashboard and are all in correct working order.

Mechanically the car was fully rebuilt. After being totally dismantled it was painstakingly put back together again. Thanks to its fuel injection system the 2 litre engine now produces 130 Ps, attached to a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. A few of the tasks done include the engine rebuild, all

new hoses and wiring as well as the gearbox, suspension and brake system overhaul. Considering this amount of attention, it is not surprising that this Volvo now drives lovely. The handling is delightfully responsive and comfortable, which is exactly what you want with the Volvo P1800E. The brakes too are perfectly well suited to their task.

An extensive photo album detailing all the work undertaken accompanies the car. We are left with a great looking Volvo p1800E with its fuel-injected 2.0 litre engine that is presented in a well executed restoration and mechanical rebuild.
