“The perfect beach car?”
In September 1966, Triumph revamped its Vitesse, a four-seater convertible designed by Michelotti. The key change was the evolution of the six-cylinder engine – in this case derived from the GT6 – which was increased to 2 litres and 95 ch! The result was a success, offering the ideal balance between torque, power, comfort and driving pleasure…
In 2013, our example joined the private collection of a collector in the south of France, who has a team of full-time mechanics responsible for his cars and projects. It was thus that this serene English convertible was fully restored to become the perfect beach car!
No budget was set for this work, which is why we have the result we see before us today. The bodywork is impeccable, the upholstery is of a very high standard, and the mechanics are equally impressive: it is virtually a brand-new Triumph Vitesse!
Purchased in 2025 by the current owner through Aguttes, the car has since covered only a few kilometres, and its gearbox has been replaced. Even today, the restoration remains as stunning as ever, and the mechanics are in excellent working order!
