Presented in 1968, the Triumph TR6 is the successor of the TR5 and TR250. It conserves the structure, the doors and the windshield of its predecessor, and the German coachbuilder Karmann modernizes the line. Thanks to this metamorphosis, the car will be produced until 1976. Mechanically, it is equipped with a 6-cylinder engine of 2498 cc powered by a Lucas direct injection, allowing it to develop 150 hp. The engine is associated with a 4-speed manual gearbox with optional overdrive. Because the across Atlantic market is essential, Triumph had to adapt for the American anti-pollution standards. So, the US version is equipped with two Stromberg 175 CDSE carburetors, reducing power to 104 hp. With 91,850 units produced, the TR6 was a real success and is now one of the most popular British roadster.

The car we present is an American version manufactured in April 1972. It has been restored several years ago and presents now a beautiful configuration. Its body has received a new white paint and a light blue top. Inside, the light wood dashboard is combined with a light blue fabric and leather imitation upholstery and with the door panels and carpets of the same color. This TR6 is today in a good overall condition, its chromes are sparkling and its interior is well preserved, only its bodywork shows some marks. The odometer shows less than 65,000 miles. Mechanically, our 6-cylinder is powered by two Stromberg carburetors and is associated with a 4-speed manual gearbox, without overdrive. Our test-drive gave us full satisfaction, this TR6 is very pleasant to drive, the mechanic starts straight away and the sound of the 6 cylinders brings something more. With its attractive estimate and its original configuration, our TR6 has plenty of arguments to convince you.
