This rather fetching Triumph TR3A was supplied from new to San Francisco, California towards the end of ’58. It has been completely restored and mechanically rebuilt. Finished in July 2012, it took its then enthusiast owner some three and a half years to complete the task. The superb bodywork is straight and has perfect body panel fittings. The underbody, engine bay and boot space are also in fine condition. The interior trim and chrome details are as good as new. The car has its original ‘Primrose Yellow” finish with black leather interior trim and matching hood with inset widows. During the restoration various upgrades were added. It now has a full 5-speed gearbox, an aluminium radiator providing optimal cooling, a Moss Motors Roll-Bar for safety, a special exhaust system and Mini-Lite rims. The then enthusiast owner kept the car well documented for some 18 years. There are a plethora of invoices and even a logbook. The car has appeared on two occasions in ‘Auto Restorer’ magazine. In 2015 the cars’ history and restoration was described and in 2017 it was mentioned that this car featured in a scene of the 2013 ‘Dancing on a Dry Salt Lake’ movie. This is a fantastic car with a superb history. It comes from one enthusiast and awaits its next enthusiast with relish!
