#TCM2N4 was the third Tojeiro Climax produced and it was especially built for the 1958 Le Mans race. The beautiful body lines were designed by renowned painter Cavendish Morton and executed by Maurice Gomm. The Tojeiro was raced at Silverstone prior to Le Mans, driven by Tommy Bridger, who later shared the car with Peter Blond at Le Mans in the 1100ccm category. The car was registered to John Ogier's (the financing force behind Tojeiro) business partner Donald Merritt, but was actually owned by Ogier, who was later listed in the papers as the second owner of the car. At Le Mans, the car had an upside down VW gearbox installed which was mated to the rear axle. After Le Mans, the engine was changed for a 1500 ccm version (Climax FWA), and the "transaxle" gearbox was changed for a conventional, alloy BMC gearbox, thus giving room for a Lotus final drive and inboard disc brakes at the rear. Also, an adjustable front suspension was fitted in period.
In the mid 70ies, the Tojeiro was registered on its third owner, Gil Dickinson, a noted Tojeiro expert and restorer who brought the car back to fully roadworthy condition during the next years.
In 2001, 77NO was sold at a Coy's auction to its next, French owner, from whom the present owner acquired it almost 20 years ago.

The Tojeiro Climax has been used a lot in vintage racing since, the last outing being the Le Mans Classic in 2023. Being one of a kind, it is a guaranteed starter at Le Mans, Goodwood and many other race tracks and a welcome entrant to all kinds of events around the globe. We even drove it at the Leggenda di Bassano, but its natural habitat is the race track. A unique opportunity to acquire a piece of motor sports history that has not been on the market for a very long time.
