Beschreibung
Tecno started as an engineering office in Bologna making hydraulic pumps. In 1961 the company owners, the brothers Luciano and Gianfranco Pederzani decided to start building carts as an entry into motor sport. In 1964 the company expanded to the construction of a Formula 4 car followed, two years later, by the first Formula 3. In 1967 the Swiss legend Clay Regazzoni achieved the first international victory for Tecno in Spain and to the end of the year Tecno had won 32 of 65 Formula 3 races. In 1969 the Swede Ronnie Peterson drove for the team and won 15 races. The car offered, with chassis number T00344, was not driven by the rapid Swede but imported into Switzerland directly in 1969 and entered in several races by Josef Frey. In 1970 the monoposto was taken over by Jo Vonlanthen who, in 1971, placed third, and in 1972 even 1st in the corresponding Swiss championship. From 1973 the little bolide was competitively driven by several owners. A detailed history is available and will be handed over with the car. In 1997 the Formula 3 was taken over by Johannes Kistler (JK Racing) and occasionally used over the next five years. In 2002, following an engine damage, the Tecno was partially restored and the Ford Novamotor engine was completely rebuilt and brought to 110 horsepower. In 2007 after completion the pretty formula car was acquired by a collector, added to his little private museum and only used for demos very occasionally. The Tecno is extremely well documented (6 document folders) and is in good to very good condition and will be sold with a FIA HTP from May 1993. Because of the extended period of inactivity, a major service should be performed. The engine however has regularly been turned through and with little effort the car may be used again. Before any competitive outing the tyres, the seatbelts and the fire extinguisher must certainly be replaced.
