After being hiding for 37 years in a barn in Switzerland this automotive jewel comes to broad daylight.

We present an unique opportunity of a ONE OF ONE built Talbot-Lago Worblaufen Cabriolet.

On 2 July 1937 this Talbot-Lago was ordered by Mr. Kaufmann at swiss coachbuilder Carrosserie Worblaufen – FRITZ RAMSEIER & CIE. The bespoke order included in hand-writing JAEGER instruments, best materials of wood & leather, additional 14 bhp, 6 cylinder engine, first copper wiring in convertible roof for lightning protection, one of the first water-proof indicators etc..

The unique car was a wedding gift by the bride’s father to Opera singer Max Lichtegg & his wife Olga. They used the car in their honeymoon & documented their tours in pictures and in their diary. As well kept every stamp for crossing country-borders.

In 1958 the car was bought in a private sale by automotive book-author Ferdinand Hediger. He Mothballed the car with 115.000km in his barn in 1965. Fortunately as being an automotive author he documented this process in pictures and during his ownership registered the car in various registers as well as wrote literature about this particular car.

After 37 years hiding in the barn Mr. Ferdinand Hediger sold in a private sale the car to a well respected swiss collector, in 2002.

This car is without any doubt the best documented pre-war car we ever came across.
The paperwork when ordering the car in 1937, every man hour of labour at Carrosserie Worblaufen as well as each ownership afterwards is documented until today.

From 2004 until 2008 the car was restored screw by screw at a professional coachbuilder in Switzerland.

Definitely a ENTRY-TICKET to future CONCOURS EVENTS, maybe a WINNER ???
