Sunbeam Avenger 1500 TC 1973

Up for auction is my beloved Sunbeam Avenger 1500TC from 1973. I’m selling it because I’m no longer driving classic rallies. This car allows you to successfully take part in an SLS rally but also in the many club rallies.

The Sunbeam is ready for use and fitted with all rally equipment. The original colour is orange and was professionally resprayed a few years ago. The chassis and the inner wings are sealed. I bought the Sunbeam 12 years ago from the 1st owner and replaced a lot of the mechanics over time such as a complete brake overhaul with new parts. The friction was also completely replaced, as well as the head gasket.

The interior was fully adapted for ultimate rally fun including excellent Recaro rally seats, a modern leather sports steering wheel from Moto-Lita and rally measuring instruments. A roll bar and safety clasps were fitted for extra safety. The suspension has been addressed.

A weighted battery and main power switch are necessary in a power circuit with relays and fuses. The engine in combination with 2 Stromberg carburettors has sufficient, reliable power. The 2 Cibié Oscar high-beam headlights provide more than enough light in the dark. The engine crankcase and fuel tank have protective "Guards". The Sunbeam is exempt from Dutch road tax and periodic inspections. The Sunbeam is obviously totally rust free and has only very minor "Rally" damage. The sports exhaust has a superb, beautiful sound and ensures the Sunbeam does not go unnoticed.
