Designed and produced by Entreposto Comercial SA, a company well known in Portugal for producing trailers and caravans, the diminutive Sado 550 was manufactured in the city of Setúbal, less than an hour away from the Sáragga collection. Powered by a Daihatsu AB20 two-cylinder petrol engine capable of producing 28 bhp mated to a four-speed manual transmission, the Sado 550 was more than capable of navigating Portugal’s narrow city streets with a width of only 1,345 mm.

Of the roughly five hundred Sado 550s built, this example falls within the first series of production, characterized by its flat windscreen. This example presents brilliantly throughout, with its odometer showing just under 2,300 km, which is believed to be original.

Popular when new yet seldom seen today, this Sado 550 would be a fun addition to any collection of microcars.

Concebido e produzido por Entreposto Comercial SA, empresa conhecida em Portugal pela produção de reboques e caravanas, o diminuto Sado 550 foi fabricado em Setúbal, a menos de uma hora da coleção Sáragga. Alimentado por um motor Daihatsu AB20 de dois cilindros a gasolina, capaz de produzir 28cv acoplado a uma transmissão manual de quatro velocidades, o Sado 550 era perfeito para as ruas estreitas de Portugal, com uma largura de apenas 1.345 mm.

Dos cerca de quinhentos exemplares do Sado 550 construídos, este exemplar enquadra-se na primeira série de produção, caracterizada pelo para-brisas plano. Em muito bom estado geral, o totalizador de quilómetros mostra apenas cerca de 2.300 km, que se acredita serem originais.
