Beschreibung

The Mini is one of the most emblematic popular cars, has been designed in several million copies and continues to be marketed today; the English proverb "less is more" is perfectly adapted to this car. In a process of adaptation to its users, the mini is declined in several versions more powerful, more adventurous, more luxurious...

The car offered for sale is one of the last Mini sold and was put on the road on June 9th 1994. Today, it has a reliable mileage of 58 375 kilometers. This modernized Mini British Open is part of the production under the ownership of Rover, then holder of the production rights of the Mini. This third hand car is in perfect condition and has benefited from several refurbishments at the initiative of its current owner, carried out at the Mini specialist BMC Automobiles. Registered in France as a collection, the car is non-accident with a valid technical control, Histovec and Carvertical report favorable. It benefits from a clear history since it was put on the road, with its maintenance booklets and all its invoices.

ENGINE AND GEARBOX
The 1275cc block has no trouble energizing the car and its weight is contained thanks to a stage 1 preparation allowing it to develop around 70 horsepower. Even if you don't expect top-notch performance, the 4-cylinder engine is enjoyable at high revs and offers its power to the front wheels with the help of a 4-speed gearbox that can be used effortlessly. Once started, the car has no trouble starting and stabilizes quickly. The fully known history reassures on the maintenance of the mechanics with a maintenance at the beginning of life within the rover network. More recently, a major service in September 2020 at 53,400 kilometers at BMC consisted of changing the exhaust, headers, tires, alignment and a suspension rebuild. Filters and fluids were also replaced that same year.

EXTERIOR
The traditional British Racing Green color of the British Open versions is complemented by the white racing stripes on the hood and the white roof. The mini is perfectly preserved and shiny, only the British Open version specific badges have not been reproduced during the painting. The functional long-range headlights are reminiscent of the Mini rally cars ready to devour the night stages of the Monte Carlo Rally. The chrome obus exterior mirrors are in perfect condition as is the rest of the chrome. The black electrically operated soft top does not distort the line and allows you to drive with your hair in the wind. There is no corrosion on the paint, wheel arches or underbody.

INTERIOR
This sublime interior preparation by BMC Automobile consisted in a total refurbishment of the interior, with tan leather seats, close to new condition, with perfect adjustments and stitching. As the 90's Mini's were originally dressed with plastics and modern looking elements, the general spirit of these modifications was to "age" it with the addition of wood inserts, a riveted wood steering wheel and many details echoing the Austin Mini of yesteryear. The instrumentation is totally functional and minimalist, while the owner had a modern but discreet radio installed allowing bluetooth connection, making calls... The plastics and carpets are in perfect condition.

CONSUMABLES
The installed tires are Yokohama brand, size 175/50 R13 dating from April 2020 are in very good condition and do not need to be changed soon. The brakes are also in very good condition thanks to its good maintenance.
