Rolls-Royce designed the Wraith as an alternative to the massive 12-cylinder Phantom III, but WWII limited production to just 492 examples. This is likely the most exquisitely restored Wraith in existence, having received an over-the-top, body-off, frame-up restoration by marque experts.

Mr. J.H. Aston of London took delivery of this Wraith in November 1938. It is believed to have come to the US in the late 1950s, and in 1969 it was acquired by Gene Littler, winner of the 1961 US Open golf championship. Later, still in original condition, it was purchased by noted collector William King of Redding, Connecticut, who commissioned Dennison-Jayne Motors to restore it mechanically and had Enfield Auto Restoration refinish the body panels. A second side mount was added during restoration to balance the design, and its full complement of road tools is truly a sight to behold. The large history file includes restoration photographs, notes, invoices, and orders for the work, which was completed in 2008.

Today, the Wraith is offered in brilliant Prussian Blue, trimmed in Saddle Tan leather upholstery with hand-polished, book-matched burled mahogany. The coachwork by Thrupp & Maberly features the unique and charming crowned roofline the coachbuilder used in many of its closed designs. Astonishingly presented throughout, the fortunate new owner may be assured that this is one of the finest examples of the elegant Wraith.
