Beschreibung
This substantial and impressive Silver Wraith with its James Young coachwork was first registered by the regular Rolls Royce customer F.S. Cook in May 1949. Any further history of the Rolls in England is not known until the car, then in rather average condition, was taken over by the vendor in August 1989 and imported into Switzerland. The Wraith then received major attention totalling more than 50’000 francs and in August 1992, with then 30’670 miles on the clock was MOT’d in Basel for the first time. Ten years later at the beginning of 2002, a complete engine overhaul and a revision of further technical components was undertaken for an additional around 50’000 Swiss francs. Receipts for the work completed are available. Afterwards the Silver Wraith was taken to the German specialist “RR Restore” who were commissioned with a complete restoration of the coachwork and the interior. Unfortunately, no receipts for the work performed in Germany is available. Since completion, the elegant saloon was only used sparingly and now shows a total mileage of 56’684 miles. The Silver Wraith is in good to very good condition and will be handed over to a new enthusiast with the most recent veteran MOT from March 2021.
