Beschreibung
"This car can be viewed in person from 14th to 18th July 2020 at our the auction site, Windsorview Lakes, Datchet, SL3 9HY
The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit was launched in October 1980 as the replacement for the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. Designed in-house by Fritz Feller the new model although similar in size to its predecessor gave the impression of being stretched. The new design was noticeable for its more modern look and yet retained an interior dominated by fine wood and sumptuous leather. It was also the first Rolls-Royce to be fitted with a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet mascot. The Silver Spur was the long wheelbase version of the new model and was produced at the same time.
This imposing Rolls-Royce was originally supplied by the world famous dealer Jack Barclay to the flamboyant self-made millionaire Cliff Stanford. The file shows a sales invoice for over £150,000 for the car. This was after a discount of over £20,000! The invoice also details an impressive list of options which includes a wine cooler to rear armrest, centenary door panels, picnic tables with separate stowage compartment, TV monitor/video to rear compartment and electrically adjustable lumbar support. This Silver Spur is one of the highest specified cars we have seen and presents well in black with black leather seats, carpets and headlining. A letter from Rolls-Royce Motors confirms that this car was also the last production chassis number for UK sale. This Rolls-Royce has recently benefitted from mechanical and service work and is offered to auction with a V5C registration document, a valid MoT test certificate, a complete set of tools, handbooks and sheepskin over rugs. This one owner, turbo charged Rolls-Royce is without doubt a classic machine.
The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to Government guidelines throughout viewing and auction day."
