Beschreibung

"This car can be viewed in person from 14th to 18th July 2020 at our the auction site, Windsorview Lakes, Datchet, SL3 9HY
Following a ten year development the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was launched in October 1965.This new model differed significantly from its predecessor and benefited from a monocoque chassis, independently sprung wheels and disc brakes all round. The model was upgraded with the launch of Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II in February 1977 and featured notable changes to the front suspension and the addition of rack and pinion steering. With a production run that continued until 1980 the Silver Shadow enjoyed, to date, the largest production volume of any car from the legendary Crewe manufacturer.
Supplied new by Howells of Cardiff to a Mr. Greenwood in August 1981, this handsome Silver Shadow II is finished in the attractive colour combination of Caribbean blue with contrasting dark blue Connolly leather interior. It is fitted with the desirable front headrests, the supplying dealer nameplates, an original Pioneer cassette player and a Clarion CD player. The service book for what must be one of the last of this particular model is well stamped and details a recent overhaul to the brake system including the fitting of six new calipers. Unfortunately, the car was involved in a minor accident in 2018 which resulted in a category N insurance write-off ‘no structural damage and repairable’. There is a detailed photographic record of the comprehensive repair work completed. The car now presents extremely well with gleaming bright work and beautiful woodwork. LTX 8X is offered to auction with an original tool kit, a V5C registration document and a fresh MOT test certificate.Interested parties should note that the service book for this vehicle has been misplaced.

The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to Government guidelines throughout viewing and auction day."
