Beschreibung

The Rolls-Royce Ghost I (RR4 series) was a luxury saloon from Rolls-Royce, which was first unveiled to the public in April 2009 at the Shanghai Motor Show. The name ‘Ghost’ was a nod to the Silver Ghost model, which had been in production since 1906. The Ghost was designed by Ian Cameron and engineered by Helmut Riedl. Riedl had previously been responsible for the development of the seventh-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom. With the Ghost, Rolls-Royce aimed to compete against vehicles from other manufacturers that were significantly more affordable than the Phantom, such as the Maserati Quattroporte or the Bentley Continental Flying Spur/Bentley Flying Spur. The Ghost was powered by a 6.6-litre V12 turbo engine producing 570 hp, with power transmitted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox from ZF. The Ghost’s body-in-white was produced at the BMW plant in Dingolfing, whilst the V12 engine was manufactured at the Munich plant. Final assembly took place on a dedicated production line at Goodwood. The paint shop, woodworking and leather workshops were shared with the Phantom. In September 2020, Rolls-Royce unveiled the successor model, the Ghost II. The Rolls-Royce Ghost offered here was originally delivered to Switzerland and was handed over to its first owner on 22 June 2012 by Schmohl AG at Glattpark in Zurich. The impressive saloon, featuring a 6.6-litre V12 turbo engine, 570 hp, an 8-speed automatic gearbox, a sunroof, the finest leather and beautifully finished wood, changed hands for around CHF 400'000. Finished in the elegant ‘Midnight Sapphire II’ colour with a silver-painted bonnet and cream-coloured interior, the Ghost spoils its owner with electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated seats in both the front and rear, 4-zone climate control, an entertainment system for rear passengers, a navigation system, front and rear parking aids, a reversing camera and numerous other luxury features. In March 2024, the Rolls-Royce was sold to the Principality of Liechtenstein and registered there. Just under a year later, the owner deregistered his prestigious British car and parked it in the garage. With 18'200 km on the clock and a full service history, the car is in very good, well-maintained original condition. The elegant Rolls-Royce will be handed over to a new owner with its latest MOT performed in August 2026 and can therefore be registered immediately.
