Beschreibung
The Rolls-Royce Corniche V marked the end of an extraordinary chapter in the marque’s history. Introduced at the dawn of the new millennium, it was the final convertible developed before Rolls-Royce entered the BMW era, representing the last of the hand-built motor cars crafted at Crewe under Vickers ownership. Produced in exceptionally limited numbers, it remains one of the rarest and most desirable modern Rolls-Royces ever built.
Designed by Graham Hull, the Corniche V combines timeless elegance with effortless performance, powered by Rolls-Royce’s legendary 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V8. Smooth, refined and unmistakably dignified, it delivers the serene driving experience that has long defined the marque, while its beautifully sculpted lines ensure an unmistakable presence wherever it travels.
Finished in the exquisite Silver Tempest over Cotswold Connolly Leather, this exceptional example was completed in August 2001 before being delivered new to the United States. Having covered just 7,750 miles from new, it has enjoyed careful ownership throughout its life before joining the Tomini Classics collection.
Prepared for the personal use of our Chairman’s family, no expense was spared in returning the car to the standard it deserved. A comprehensive mechanical service was carried out, the sophisticated hydro-pneumatic suspension was completely rebuilt, and the underbody cadmium-plated components were meticulously refinished. Accompanied by its original owner’s manuals, tool kit, service records, jack kit and twin Rolls-Royce umbrellas, it represents one of the finest Corniche V examples available today.
One of only 32 left-hand-drive examples produced for the 2002 model year, the Corniche V is increasingly recognised as one of the last truly traditional Rolls-Royces. Combining exceptional rarity, timeless craftsmanship and remarkable provenance, it is a fitting addition to any world-class collection.
