n the 1990s, Renault Sport took on a new challenge: to create
a car that was radically focused on driving pleasure, inspired by
British single-seaters and lightweight roadsters. The Renault
Spider was born in 1995, the result of uncompromising
development where every technical choice was dictated
by performance and the pure pleasure of driving. With an
aluminum chassis, composite bodywork, a mid-engine from
the Clio Williams and no electronic assistance, the Spider is a
machine designed for the road as well as the track, perfectly
embodying the spirit of Renault Sport.
Only 1,726 of these atypical sports cars were produced,
and today they are highly sought-after collector’s items. The
