Beschreibung

The ultimate development of the Porsche 944 line, the 211 hp, 3.0-liter 944 S2 replaced both the 944 and 944 S in 1989, and included 944 Turbo brakes, a taller final-drive ratio, lower-drag Turbo bodywork, and near-perfect weight distribution.

Built on February 27, 1989, and sold new at Burdick-Rich Motors Porsche of Binghamton, New York, on April 14, 1990, the S2 carried a $43,595 MSRP with options including partial leather seats, a Blaupunkt Reno radio, automatic seat belts, cruise control, alarm system, Bosch ABS, “16 Ventiler” insignia, electric sunroof, and Dunlop tires. The first owner was Thomas Theise of Whitney Point, New York, who sold it after four years and 8,000 miles to Porsche Club of America (PCA) member Mike Brislin of Shavertown, Pennsylvania, who retained it for over 22 years, selling it at 43,000 miles in 2017 to a longtime PCA member in Southern California.

Serviced throughout its life as evidenced by records and its stamped service book, this 944 S2 also benefits from recent work in the last three years, including a timing belt service and water pump, along with work to the air-conditioning and power steering systems. Offered in excellent condition throughout, this 944 S2 remains highly original, and is accompanied by manuals, tool kit and accessories, spare, jack, original window sticker, brochures, the original build/inspection sheet, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, CARFAX and AutoCheck Reports, records, and receipts.
