Offered for sale is my 1986 Porsche 944 2.5, finished in a very attractive and period-correct combination of black exterior paint and black cloth/leatherette interior with characteristic light pinstripes.

The Porsche has been in my ownership for approximately 10 years and forms part of my private classic car collection. During my ownership it has been carefully maintained and kept as a garage vehicle.

What particularly appeals to me about this 944 is its authentic and largely original character. The car has not been over-restored or visually modernised, but has instead been preserved and maintained as an honest classic Porsche.

The interior is particularly well preserved. The characteristic striped cloth upholstery remains in very attractive condition and is free from tears. The dashboard, steering wheel, centre console and rear seats retain the distinctive atmosphere of a Porsche from the 1980s.

The original Becker radio is also present.

Mechanically, the Porsche runs very well and has proven to be a reliable classic.

The German TÜV inspection has recently been renewed and is valid until September 2028. According to the current inspection report, the car passed without defects.

The car is also fitted with four new Michelin summer tyres.

The removable Targa roof makes the 944 particularly enjoyable during the warmer months while retaining the characteristic lines of the coupé.

Original parts still available with the vehicle are included in the sale.

Known defect

The heater valve is currently defective. The vehicle is being sold in its present condition.

Apart from this, I am not currently aware of any significant technical defects.

Condition

This Porsche is now 40 years old and is deliberately not presented as a newly restored or new-condition vehicle. It is a well-preserved and authentic classic with age- and mileage-related signs of use.

For me, the combination of its largely original appearance, beautifully preserved interior, Targa roof, historic registration and long-term private ownership is what makes this 944 particularly appealing.
