Beschreibung
UK-supplied on the 05/02/1993 by AFN Porsche in Cobalt Blue with Linen leather interior5.0-litre, all-alloy V8 engine and4-speed automaticaredesigned for smooth GT motoringOriginal service book stamped by official Porsche centres and Porsche specialistsSheaves of service invoices, previous MOT Certificates and its original handbookJust under 77,200 miles indicated (atoc).MOT valid until December 2020 with no advisoriesA delightful example, lightly used and in a fabulous colour combinationPorsche's intended replacement for the 911 had an all-alloy V8 attached to a rear-mounted gearbox, the galvanised body had aluminium doors and bonnet, and thebody-coloured bumpers were plastic, allpretty radical for its time. The 928 was launched to a fanfare and surprised many by being named European Car of the Year, an award that traditionally went to worthy but dull family hatchbacks.Critics immediately recognised the advances that the 928 had made over the 911, and the car was universally praised as one of the greatest GT cars of all time. It handled, it was quick, it looked fantastic and it was comfortable. With the 928, Porsche created a serious long-distance grand touring car that could also tackle twisting B-roads with ease, thanks to super-direct steering, 50/50 weight distribution, and a clever Weissach rear axle that kept the car firmly planted.Consequently,we are delighted to offer this rare C16-UK supplied 928 Series 4 originally supplied by AFN Porsche of Guildfordand first registered on 05/02/1993. It is superbly finished in Cobalt Blue with a contrasting Linen leather interior, a very rarespecification for a Series 4 in 1993, we believe. The 928 sits beautifully with excellent lines and its 16-inch alloy wheels are shod with a set of matching Toyo Proxes T1-R rubber that has covered less than two hundred miles.Moving inside, the light leather interior shows very little signs of wear, retaininga soft supple and spongy texture andthe deep pile over-mats are beautifully presented with a fresh feel. The service records include both Official Porsche Centres and Porsche specialist stamps andincluded in the history file are a sheaf of previous service invoices, previous MOT Certificates, the original service book and the original handbook. The tool kit remainsintactin the luggage compartment and is in good condition and the car is offered to auction with an MOT valid until December 2020 without advisories, in line with the cars recent MOT history.
