Beschreibung

To satisfy enthusiasts clamoring for a high-performance version of the 914, Porsche launched the 914/6 in 1970 with the two-liter, six-cylinder engine of the 911 T. This excellent example is one of only 3,351 built between 1970 and 1972, finished in its original Tangerine over black color scheme. A matching-numbers example, as confirmed by an accompanying Certificate of Authenticity, it presents as a stunning, correct, and enjoyable Porsche sports car.

According to research by the consignor, the original owner lived in New Mexico and held the car for a limited period before selling it. The second caretaker drove it with spirited gusto until 1988, when fatherhood shifted his automotive priorities. The 914/6 was then stored in Los Angeles for over 20 years until it was purchased in 2008 by the current owner. Four years later, the car was submitted to more than 1,500 hours of meticulous restoration, which was completed in 2014 by AIR Motorsports in Los Angeles.

This 914/6 has been shown several times, including at the 2014 Porsche Club of America Werks Reunion in Monterey, California, and the PCA Los Angeles Region Concours d’Elegance, where it won First in Class in the full concours division in 2014 and 2016. Since restoration, this gorgeous Porsche has clocked less than 350 miles. It comes with the factory jack and tool kit, owner’s manual, and PCA awards, as well as the dealer paperwork, COA, and service records.
