German home-market supplied, left-hand driveTurbo indicating just 137,213km (85,260 miles)Finished in gleaming Schwartz Metallicpaintwork with black leather interior and black carpetsFactory options include; heated electric sports seats, car phone, sunshine roof and Becker CDComprehensive service history supported by the original service book and a wealth of invoicesOffered from long-term enthusiast ownership, a highly collectable and sought after modelThe 993 Turbo, introduced in mid-1995, retained a tight hold on the torch of the most powerful 911 variant whilst continuing the general developments and improvements to the breed as a whole. Amongst the new features, was an electronically controlled, viscous coupling,all-wheel-drive system, something Porsche had not offered on a turbocharged model since the 959 and a system that greatly improved the car's usability. Under the engine lid, now topped with a sculpted spoiler tail with downturned edges, resided the 3.6-litre, flat-six fed by twin K16 turbos. Combined with bigger brakes, fatter tires, a wide body and lower stance, the 993 Turbo had evolved into one of the fastest cars on the planet. With all four wheels helping to evenly distribute great handfuls of power, 0-60mph was dispatched in a staggering 3.7 seconds, 100mph whistled by in 5.7 seconds, and the linear forward thrust continued until the speedometer needle had said goodbye to 180mph and you were on conversational terms with the horizon.Offered here is a German-supplied (C00), left-hand drive 993 Turbo presented in triple black with Schwartz Metallic (L744)paint, black sports seats and black carpets, a colour combination that really suits the car. The speedometer shows just 137,213km (85,260 miles), at the time of cataloguing, which is supported by a detailed service history from both the UK and abroad. Our vendor spotted this beautiful Turbo whilstworking overseas, purchased the car on the spot and imported it back to the UK in 2013.We understand that it has always been dry stored whilstin the UK, exercised regularly in dry weather conditions and maintained to the highest standards. In our vendors' words, The car presents in excellent condition with an immaculate interior andjust a few small stone chips to the front as might be expected. They are reluctantly offering their Turbo to market after 8 years of enjoyable ownership including many trouble-free trips to their holiday home in France.Accompanying this lovely 993 is a history file containingthe original Porsche book pack including the Service Book stamped up-to-date, supporting paper invoices, import documents, old MOTs, its current UK V5c and other associated paperwork. This is agreat opportunity to acquire a car that is still considered blisteringly fast some two decades after its production ceased, yet is as docile and friendly as any 911 from the era. It's equally at home in the lanes of Somerset or blasting down the Autoroute to the Cote d'Azur, but either way as an outstanding example of the last of the air-cooled Turbosit will become increasingly sought after as the years go by.You can now book a one-to-one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location Monday to Friday between Thursday 29th October - 12th November.
