Beschreibung

The 911 S of 1973 represented the high point of Porsche’s sports car range; as the final production year of the original first-generation 911, that year’s models showed Porsche in its most highly evolved form to date.

This 1973 911 S is accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, which documents both its numbers-matching engine and highly optioned specification. A long-term resident of Oregon, the 911 was equipped from new with a power sunroof, desirable leather Recaro sport seats, limited-slip differential, Koni shock absorbers, tinted glass, and air-conditioning. Today, it presents in excellent and highly original condition, including particularly well-preserved leather upholstery. Believed by the consignor to have been treated to just one high-quality repaint, and to once have been owned by noted Porsche enthusiast Bill Shores, the 911 shows approximately 55,000 miles from new.

The consignor states he has known and coveted this lovely 911 S for over 20 years while storing it – for previous owner John Dickenson of Portland, Oregon – at his place of business, before finally being able to purchase the Porsche in 2015. He reports that the well-kept 911 has been maintained by noted Portland-based specialists Marque Motors for at least 20 years, including a recent service.

Offered in its striking factory colors of Black on Black, this 911 represents a rare opportunity to acquire an excellent example one of Porsche’s most coveted models.
