1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring
Matching Numbers | Signal Yellow | Porsche Classic Technical Certificate
We are pleased to offer this exceptional 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring, finished in its factory-correct and highly desirable colour combination of Signal Yellow over Black leatherette.
Completed on 14 June 1973, chassis number 9113601491 is a late-production example of Porsche’s legendary homologation model. It is equipped with the desirable M472 Touring package, combining the performance and unmistakable character of the Carrera RS 2.7 with a more refined and usable interior specification.
The car retains its matching-numbers Type 911/83 engine and Type 915/08 five-speed manual transmission. Its identifying numbers, original specifications and present condition were inspected by an authorised Porsche Classic Partner in Japan and recorded in a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate issued in 2026.
Restored to its correct factory specification and remaining unmodified, the car presents in outstanding condition throughout.

Porsche Classic Technical Certificate
In July 2026, the car underwent an extensive visual and functional inspection at Porsche Center Yokohama Aoba, an authorised Porsche Classic Partner.
The inspection confirmed that the chassis number, Type 911/83 engine, engine number, Type 915/08 transmission and transmission number correspond with the vehicle’s recorded production specifications.
The certificate also confirms the factory colour combination of Signal Yellow bodywork and roof over a Black leatherette interior, together with its M472 Touring specification and recorded factory equipment.
The Porsche Classic specialist’s report describes the vehicle as being in excellent overall condition. The bodywork was found to be free from visible damage, while the paintwork was described as outstanding, with only very minor stone chips noted. The interior was considered exceptionally well preserved for its age.
The engine, transmission, suspension, braking system, steering, fuel system, bodywork, paint, wheels and exterior components passed the Porsche Classic inspection. No corrective work was considered necessary to the suspension, and only minimal wear was recorded on the brake pads and discs.
No items were listed as failing to meet the final technical inspection requirements. The vehicle clock was separately noted as non-operational.
Condition and Presentation
This Carrera RS is beautifully presented in its rare and striking factory colour of Signal Yellow. The combination of its late production date, matching-numbers mechanical components, M472 Touring specification, dual Recaro sport seats and recent Porsche Classic certification makes it a particularly attractive example.
