The highest-performance version of the 911 range before the arrival of the legendary Carrera RS 2.7, the Porsche 911 2.4 S represents the pinnacle of Porsche engineering in the early 1970s. For the 1973 model year, the "S" was powered by a 2.4-litre flat-six producing 190 hp, replacing the previous 2.2-litre, 180 hp unit. Equipped with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, this engine is renowned for its willingness to rev and its exceptional performance for the period. The 2.4 S was the most powerful and sporting production version of the original 911 before the introduction of the Carrera RS.

The car underwent a comprehensive restoration between 2009 and 2012.
