Beschreibung

. Previously owned by Chris Harvey motoring journalist.

. Originally an ‘Oel Klappe’ model.

. Upgraded to 2.7 RS specification.

The Porsche 911 2.4 S upgraded to 2.7 “Sport” specification by Autofarm offered at Autostorico is finished in its original Orange with Black interior trim. First registered to Porsche GB on 18th May 1972 this matching number example still retains its original number plate LME 911K. Passing through seven former keepers before being purchased in December 1984 by Chris Harvey a well respected motoring journalist and author from Autofarm. He used the car regularly and often included it in his work featuring in many marque books along with a feature in Classic and Sports car in 1985.

The car passed to another family member Patrick Harvey in 1992 and during his ownership, it appears the car was converted to RS specification. In 1999 Autofarm started a significant restoration which spanned over three years until in 2002 an agreement was made that Autofarm would purchase the unfinished project and complete the car to their own “Sports” specification.

The original 2.4 litre engine has been upgraded to 2.7RS specification including correct Carrera barrels, pistons and 019 specification MFI pump. The front and rear bumpers were replaced with lightweight 911S style items along with a period three outlet exhaust system. Dampers were replaced with new Bilstein sport items and the wheels replaced with genuine correctly anodised 7 x 15” Fuchs to the front with 8 x15” to the rear. Internally a period lightweight interior was installed which included Scheel style bucket seats, manual windows and glovebox delete along with a 360mm RS steering wheel.

This exceptional example is the best 1970’s Porsche’s we have ever driven, which should certainly appreciate further over time.

Supplied with an extensive history file including a current V5 registration document, numerous invoices and other related history.
