Beschreibung
Chassis 9111300612 : The Rally-Bred Champion
Built in early 1971, this car started life as a factory press vehicle, finished in striking Blood Orange and built to Safari specifications. It was registered by Porsche with Stuttgart plates (S-Z7670) and later repainted in “Martini Silver” at the factory, hinting at the brand’s ambitions for future sponsorship.
Later sold to famed Porsche tuner Louis Meznarie in 1972, the car immediately saw top-level competition.
Racing Highlights :
• 1972 Mont Ventoux Hill Climb – 1st in Group 4 (Gérard Larrousse), car #31
• 1972 Tour de France Automobile – 1st Overall (Alibelli & Berthet), car #378
This ST was equipped with the 2.4 L flat-six engine paired with bosch mechanical fuel injection, producing over 270 horsepower in a chassis weighing just over 930 kg.
The Tour de France win is particularly significant. The rally spanned thousands of kilometers across France, including stops at 10 legendary circuits, from Le Mans to Paul Ricard. Chassis 9111300612 proved not just quick but durable, outperforming high-powered competitors and cementing the 911 ST’s status as a dual-threat on circuit and rally stage alike.
This car underwent a multi-year restoration by Roock Sportsystem. Painstaking efforts returned it to its 1972 racing specification and livery, and the car now carries a FIVA passport, TÜV, and Historic Technical Passport, ready to run again in Tour Auto or Le Mans Classic.
