Our lovely Porsche 911 is a desirable short wheelbase version with a 130 bhp flat-six 2-litre engine. It was first road registered at the start of 1967 in the United States, as evidenced by the odometer calibrated in miles. The current owner, a long-standing and particularly astute collector, acquired the car in 2018 from the Porsche specialist Art Restoration. Located near Strasbourg in Alsace, this business is renowned for its expertise in the restoration of classic Porsche, and sourced this 911 for its well conserved condition. The car, in overall sound condition, was taken back to bare metal so that any signs of rust and defects in the bodywork could be repaired. The car was then primed and repainted its original "Golf blue" reference 6603, a superb colour that suits it perfectly. The original engine was rebuilt, again in the workshops of Art Restoration, and re-installed with its original 5-speed gearbox. Other work included overhauling the running gear, refurbishing the electrics and a full inspection of all mechanical elements was carried out. Inside, the black and white houndstooth-covered front seats have been renovated, as have the mats. Sitting snugly behind the wooden steering wheel, you can enjoy studying the on-board instruments which are graduated in green, the last year this was the case for this model. You can also enjoy both the sound of its flat-six engine, as well as the radio integrated into the dashboard. Offered in particularly attractive condition today, with its original engine and colours, this short wheelbase Porsche from 1967 is historically significant, showing us the essence of what made the 911 a legend, a legend that continues to this day.
