1963 wird der 911 er auf der IAA in Frankfurt noch als Typ 901 vorgestellt. Peugeot hatte aber die Modellnummern mit einer Null in der Mitte rechtlich geschützt, daher benannte Porsche den Wagen in ?911? um. Er erscheint in zwei Ausführungen: 1964 als Typ 911 mit einem 130 PS starken Sechszylinder-Motor und aufgrund der Nachfrage nach einem preislich günstigeren Porsche 1965 als Typ 912 mit vereinfachter Ausstattung und dem modifizierten 356-SC-Motor mit vier Zylindern und 90 PS. Bei der Rallye Monte Carlo im Jahr 1965 erlebt der neue Porsche 911 seinen ersten Sport-einsatz.

Dieser 911 2.0-Liter-Rennwagen wurde von einem Porsche-Spezialisten vollständig gemäß FIA Anhang K für den historischen Motorsport aufgebaut. Der Wagen verfügt über eine Straßenzulassung und einen aktuellen FIA - HTP.

In 1963, the 911 was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt as the Type 901. However, Peugeot had legally protected the model numbers with a zero in the middle, thus Porsche renamed the car "911". It was launched in two variants: in 1964 as Type 911 with a 130 hp six-cylinder engine and, due to the demand for a lower-priced Porsche, in 1965 as Type 912 with a lower equipment level and the modified 356 SC engine with four cylinders and 90 hp. At the Monte Carlo Rally in 1965 the new Porsche 911 had its first outing in motorsport.

This 911 2.0-litre racing car was built up by a Porsche specialist according to FIA Appendix K for historic motorsport. The vehicle is road legal and has an actual FIA HTP.

The 911 is ideal for motorsport events or rallyes like the Tour Auto, Porsche 2.0 Liter Cup, etc.
