Beschreibung

By 1979, the European-specification Porsche 930 was equipped with an intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six with 300 hp, enabling the 930 to post 0–60 mph in 5.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 162 mph. Porsche built 820 of these rest-of-world examples in 1979 for delivery to markets other than Japan and North America.

Presented here is a well-equipped 1979 930 that features desirable options such as Sport Seats, a sunroof, limited-slip differential, and rear window wiper. In very nice overall condition, this 930 registered just 28,312 km at the time of cataloguing, and the consignor states it has received more than $60,000 in recent mechanical and cosmetic work. Originally specified in Grand Prix White with Turbo graphics over a rare black leather and Pasha fabric interior, the Porsche is accented by 16" black Fuchs wheels with new tires. With the goal of improving the 930’s overall condition, it received a repaint from Auto Krafters of Riviera Beach, Florida, in 2016. At the same time, the engine and gearbox were removed and given attention by the respected specialists at KMW Motorsports in Boca Raton, Florida. The Pasha interior upholstery and carpets were replaced by Central Auto Trim in West Palm Beach for an astonishing period presentation.

As the 930 becomes increasingly sought-after, European-spec cars are especially desirable due to their increased performance levels over those originally delivered in North America. This 930 Coupe, with its unique and desirable specification, should make a worthy addition to any Porsche collector’s garage.
