Beschreibung
Chassis No. WP0ZZZ99Z4S690212
In 1999, two-time World Rally Champion Walter Röhrl lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes 56 seconds in Porsche's new 911 GT3. No road-legal production car had gone around in under eight minutes before. Named for the FIA's GT3 class of production-based racing, the car paired the 996-generation body with a water-cooled flat six developed by Hans Mezger and derived from the engine of the Le Mans-winning 911 GT1.
Porsche presented the second-generation GT3 in 2003, built on the facelifted 996.2-generation 911. The 3,600-cc engine gained 21 PS to reach 381, while revised aerodynamics, suspension, and larger brakes further sharpened the package. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes joined the options list for the first time, and top speed rose to 306 km/h.
This German-market example was delivered new through Porsche Zentrum Köln on 10 June 2003. It is specified in Carrara White with a Black interior and paired with the standard six-speed manual transmission. Its factory options include air conditioning, xenon headlights with headlamp washers, a top-tinted windscreen, and leather-edged floor mats with Porsche script.
A clean CarVX Report places the car in Japan from 2021 through 2025. More recently, a clean U.S. CARFAX Report records a March 2026 service at Porsche of Fresno in California, which fitted fresh ignition coils and spark plugs among other work. The odometer shows 28,133 km at the time of cataloging, and the car is offered with its books.
Well-kept second-generation GT3s with comfort equipment and modest mileage are increasingly hard to find. This example offers the same experience Röhrl helped define on the Nordschleife more than two decades ago.
