Revered as the ultimate development of the original 911, the 3.2 Carrera was the most flexible and usable of Butzi Porsche's original design since the launch of the original 911 back in 1963. Launched in 1984, and reviving the ‘Carrera' name for the first time since 1977, these were the definitive 1980's sports cars. The all-alloy flat six engine received a final stretch to 3164cc, giving 231 bhp; enough to propel the coupé to over 150 mph, with 0-60 mph coming up in 5.6 seconds. All 3.2 Carreras feature galvanised bodies which, together with Porsche's legendary build quality, ensure that these classics are long lasting.

The Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Targa offered by Autostorico is a stunning 1986 example which is finished in the iconic combination of Guards Red with Black leather piped in red. This very well maintained, 70,145 mile, example boasts just four registered keepers from new the last of which purchased the car in November 2017. The new owner then had the car thoroughly inspected by Porsche Inspections Ltd Upon receipt of the report the owner instructed RPM Technik (well respected Porsche specialists) to complete the work required to turn the car into the exceptional example we are presented with today. The works completed by RPM include a full engine rebuild at £9,133.96 and a further £14,992.79 was spent replacing numerous other items throughout the car.
