The Type 997 Speedster, launched by Porsche Exclusive in 2010, continues an illustrious Porsche tradition that began with the iconic 356 Speedster. Based on the Carrera GTS, the Type 997 Speedster featured a lower windshield; a double-hump clamshell top cover; seat centers upholstered in a checkered flag pattern; and 19" Sport Classic wheels. The new evocation came fortified with almost every performance option as standard, including a Powerkit-equipped 3.8-liter flat-six producing 408 bhp, seven-speed PDK transmission, Sport Chrono package, carbon ceramic brakes, and Porsche Active Suspension Management.

Finished in Pure Blue over black leather, this Speedster is the 39th example of a mere 356 produced. Displaying less than 6,500 miles at the time of cataloguing, it is in beautiful condition throughout. It has been well maintained by the consignor, who purchased the car in 2011, when it showed approximately 600 miles. Service records date back to 2012, and notably, Porsche Bellevue in Washington performed the recommended 40,000-mile service in October 2015 at only 5,551 miles. In 2016, less than 600 miles later, another service was performed.

Previous Speedster models have become highly collectible and offer the purest driving experience of all open 911s. A 997 Speedster should be considered a must-have for any serious Porsche collector, and this fine example represents a great opportunity to acquire a true modern classic.
