Beschreibung
Porsche 997 GT2 RS 2010
History :
... The most radical stuttgard model ever ... Limited and numbered edition where the German brand intends to demonstrate the technology and knowledge of the competition department with Road Homologation.
As if the 911 GT2 of the 997 generation was not fast enough, Porsche decided to give the model a final farewell before the introduction of the 991 and decided that the GT2 would receive the RS .
With 70 kg less weight than the standard GT2 , the GT2 RS uses additional carbon fibre panels to help reduce unnecessary weight. A new version of the twin-turbo, four six-cylinder cam developed for the GT1 Le Mans. It has been fitted with new four-valve heads, Variocam-Plus, and variable turbine technology. All this brings the engine's power to an incredible 620 hp and 700 Nm.
This increase in production Power, weight reduction and special attention to aerodynamics (highlighted by the GT2 RS's imposing biplane rear spoiler) have allowed drastic increases in performance. According to Porsche itself, it pushed an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 sec, but many car analysts believed it was a very conservative estimate. If someone is brave enough to continue accelerating , 200 km/h would be achieved in just over 8 seconds, bringing the GT2 RS to a top speed of 330 km/h. Performance was curbed by the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system, the adaptive PASM suspension and stability control. Perhaps the most impressive performance in presenting the model to Supersport enthusiasts was the lap time at the Nürburgring Nordschleife: 7 minutes and 18 seconds, even faster than the Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari 488 GTB, Maserati MC12, Bugatti Veyron 16.4 and Lexus LFA Nürburgring.
With production completed on December 2, 2010, this GT2 RS is one of only 500 copies produced , with the serial number 163 .
Even today, the 997 GT2 RS is still the most powerful handcrafted car ever built by Porsche and the First GT2 RS . As such, it will remain a reference model not only within the 997 family of 911s, but in general as one of the most iconic cars ever built .

ENGINE:
It's powered courtesy of a dry sumped turbocharged engine of 3.6 litre capacity.
This unit features double overhead camshaft valve gear, 6 cylinder layout, and 4 valves per cylinder.
It produces 620 PS/456 kW of power at 6500 rpm, and maximum torque of 700 N·m (516 lb·ft/71.4 kgm) at 2500-5500 rpm
CHASSIS -BODY - SUSPENSION :
The RS also incorporated a reworked suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a more aggressive aerodynamic profile.
Aerodynamically, it’s quite similar to the 997 GT2, but runs a new splitter, new rear diffuser and an extra gurney on the rear wing. Doesn’t sound like much, but it nearly was much downforce as the GT3 RS. All that carbon, plus plastic rear and side windows shave 70kg over the last GT2.
No other turbocharged 911 comes close to offering the chassis balance that this car does. It has monster front–axle grip . You turn, it grips, the motor lunges, the front axle grips more, then the crazy traction takes-over on the exit of turns. The steering is stunning. Drive it fast, use its potential for a few minutes and you have to back-away before the numbers get silly. The traction and stability control calibration is a masterstroke: you can use so much of the performance, so much of the time.
It’s freakishly comfortable too. Occasionally a low speed bump elicits a creak from those rear rose-joints, otherwise it rides no more harshly than a Carrera on sports suspension. In fact it might just be more supple
INTERIOR :
. It came out of the factory configured in the exterior colour CARRERA WHITE with interior in Alcântara bicolor and black leather .
Equipped with a multitude of rare factory options. These included Carbon Outdoor Pack , Porsche Carbon Fiber Backets , Sport Chrono Plus Pack , PCM with Navigation and Bluetooth connectivity , Alcantara Sport Steering Wheel , Roll bar .
