An exceptional UK supplied right hand drive example with the desirable VarioRam engine and six speed manual transmission. Finished in Iris blue with black leather interior, this 993 has a great specification which includes air conditioning, sunroof, hardback sports seats, 17" New Cup Design Wheels, rear wiper, top tinted windscreen and third high level brake light. It has covered 48,000 miles with a detailed full history and is in unmarked superb condition throughout.
The car was supplied when new on the 29th August 1996 by Porsche main dealer Stratstones of Wilmslow. Since that date it has been enjoyed by a number of owners each of whom have used the 993 sparingly whilst looking after it very carefully and servicing it correctly – indeed there are 18 stamps in the original service book.
In 2014 the Porsche was purchased from marque specialist Paragon by a fastidious Porsche collector who has been looking for a very good 993 C2 with a great specification for some time. He had the car fully inspected by the highly regarded Porsche gurus Clark and Carter – a copy of their detailed report is on file. Following purchase, Clark and Carter were enlisted to correct any item requiring attention, the aim being to return the car to new condition. Invoices on file detail work completed which amounted to a small renovation project.
We purchased the vehicle in 2017 and sold it very quickly to a London based enthusiast who had been looking for a great 993 for some time. Prior to delivery, the car was fully checked by The Porsche Centre in Swindon and the excellent Porsche Classic stereo unit was fitted along with a 993 RS steering wheel (the original wheel remains with the car). This owner has used the car sparingly taking the mileage from 42,000 miles to 48,000 miles in his two and a half years of ownership. When not in use, the car was kept in a heated garage.
The results of the work completed by Clark and Carter together with careful use, diligent maintenance and sparing use throughout its life, mean that this 993 must be amongst the finest in existence. The detail condition is truly superb and it does not disappoint on the road, driving in a taut and fluent manner one would expect of a low mileage example that has been well-fettled by experts. It comes with all original books in the correct wallet, all keys, tools, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a large file of invoices, correspondence and MOT Certificates.
The car will be fully checked and service prior to delivery to the next lucky owner.
