The "Leichtbau Collection"
We are very delighted to offer this small but highly exclusive collection of the best Porsche 993 models - the „Leichtbau Collection“. The collection was brought together by a German collector and Porsche enthusiast to honor the pinnacle of modern Porsche air cooled models. Each of the four cars stands for the best of the best, either road or track, normal aspirated of turbo powered! This is the first time that this collection becomes public and it for sale!

Model history:
The Porsche 911 / 993 model was manufactured and sold between 1994-1998 and replaced the type-964. It was the the last air-cooled 911 and the first 911 with a six speed transmission.
The 993 Carrera RS is a lightweight variant of the standard Carrera. It has a maximum power output of 300hp from a naturally aspirated 3.8-litre flat-6 engine, achieved by the use of dual oil coolers, bigger intake valves, a Varioram variable-length intake manifold, a modified Bosch Motronic engine management system and lightweight forged pistons. The 6-speed manual gearbox has a short shifter and the gear ratios for the first three gears are modified, too.

The Carrera RS is about 100 kg lighter than the normal Carrera 2, achieved by an alloy hood/bonnet, the rear seats were removed and special racing seats with spartan door cards were installed, also they used thinner glass and the sound proofing was reduced to a minimum. 3-piece 18 inch aluminium Speedline wheels came as standard equipment. Bilstein dampers are used for the suspension system and the handling was improved by lowering the ride height. The final weight of the car is about 1.280 kg.

The Carrera RS Clubsport was an even more exclusive, track oriented iteration of the Carrera RS with deleted comfort features like the carpets, power windows, air conditioning and the radio. The Clubsport also came with a welded Matter roll cage. The famous RS Clubsport aero kit comprises a three-part front spoiler, twin side skirts, a two-part rear spoiler with side air inlets to improve engine cooling, as well as an air grille for the engine compartment lid. The upper wing of the rear spoiler is adjustable. The RS Clubsport aero kit has been race-tested in the international Porsche Supercup Series.

The Carrera RS was produced throughout 1995 and 1996. Only 217 RS Clubsport variants, option code M003 were built.
