EXTERIOR
Special ordered in a stunning shade of Cobalt Blue metallic the classic curves of this Carrera 2 present with a certain elegance. This generation of 911 marked a significant evolution of Porsche – perfectly portraying the iconic silhouette whilst embracing some more modern technology that really paved the way for the next era of 911.

This example presents in exceptional condition; under the same ownership since 1997 the car has been stored in a Carcoon for the past 22 years and used very sparingly throughout its life, covering less than 21k miles to date. Leading such a sheltered life means the bodywork presents with a resplendent shine across its vivid blue coachwork, free from discernible blemishes or major imperfections.

INTERIOR
Continuing the impressive factory spec this 964 comes fitted with a set of sports seats, with electronic height adjustment, upholstered in a contrasting grey leatherette with tonal blue piping. The grey and blue combination stretches across the dashboard, door cards, headlining and even the complimentary blue carpets. Originality is what really sets the interior apart, with the correct airbag steering wheel and factory specified CD10 headunit still in place its clear that this unmodified example was a cherished vehicle.

Condition of the cabin mirrors the cars low mileage; with the deeply bolstered sports seats free from and creasing or wear the whole interior presents in an almost factory fresh manner.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
You can sense the provenance of Porsche’s air-cooled Flat-6 on start-up as the engine erupts into life with a wonderful and familiar 911 sound, before settling to a smooth and consistent idle. The engine produces 247bhp, not a substantial amount by modern standards, but paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox and factory specified limited slip differential this Carrera 2 is a real drivers car. On the move if feels nimble and responsive, with the air-cooled 3.6L providing some sonorous encouragement up through the gears.

Mechanically the car is excellent order, with a full service history up to 2009 when the car was put into heat controlled storage, having covered just 20,517 miles. Since then the car was serviced in 2016, and most recently in November 2020, where the car showed just 20,764 miles on the clock.

HISTORY FILE
This exceptional 964 Carrera 2 was first registered by Lancaster Cambridge on 23/04/1992 as outlined by the original stamped service book. The car changed hands in 1995 and the again in 1997, when the car was sold by Stratstone Wilmslow to the cars 3rd and current owner, as outlined by the purchase invoice present in the comprehensive history file. Since then the owner has covered less than 15,000 miles in the car, servicing it annually until it went into storage in 2009, with just 20,517 miles on the clock.

In 2016 the 911 was removed from its Carcoon and taken for an inspection and service, and most recently in November 2020, where the car was subject to another service and replacement fuel pump at 20,764 miles. The stamped service book shows 13 stamps, all with accompanying invoices going back to 1998, as well as 2 further invoices from the aforementioned 2016 and 2020 specialist services.

Present with the car is a the full original book pack, leather Porsche wallet, comprehensive log of MOT’s, 15 service invoices, V5 and 2 sets of keys.
