- Lighter sports version, high performance
- Rare model
- Original engine (matching numbers)
This car was delivered new in January 1992 in Milan, Italy, by Car Comauto. The car had two owners in Italy, one in Belgium, who hardly used the car, and finally the current owner in France. Its service book is stamped, a proof of a regular service, the last one was carried out in October 2014, at the Porsche service centre in Knokke-le-Zoute (invoice of 1,500), the famous seaside resort on the Belgian coast. The last invoice is from November 2015 and totals 4500 at Porsche next to Paris. The original mileage shows 69,900 km, and the car comes with its duplicate keys, an inflator, and its user and maintenance manuals.
The Carrera RS, which took its name from the legendary RS 2.7, was a sport version derived from the Carrera 2, intended for Group N/GT racing. Powered by the 3.6-liter 260bhp engine, it was lightened through the use of special materials and a reduction of equipment, according to a method largely controlled by the brand. It was 160kg lighter than the Carrera 2 series, and total production hardly exceeded 2,500 units. This car is not only rare and powerful, but highly collectible as well. Still with its original engine, in a polar grey shade with matching upholstery, the example we offer has the additional virtue of being in nice condition.
