This is a wonderful US supplied 1962 Porsche 356B 1600S. After making its way to Germany in the 90’s, it underwent a top-class restoration.

We have for you a Porsche 356B with a T6 Body. The car has a Ruby Red finish paired with a black interior trim. The 1600S 4-cylinder boxer engine develops 75 Ps at 5,000 RPM attached to a manual 4-speed gearbox.

The previous owner had the car fully restored and overhauled by a Porsche expert in Germany. The work carried out was to the highest standard, leaving us with this pristine car today. The wholly undamaged bodywork has fine and correctly aligned panelwork. The brightwork and chrome hubcaps are also pristine. The well applied paintwork looks great.

The interior trim was completely reupholstered during the restoration, closely keeping to the original spec. The seats have been reupholstered in black vinyl and look the part. The seat’s chrome parts as well as the frames were replaced. Your eye is automatically drawn to that lovely wooden Nardi steering wheel as well as the fine state the dashboard is in. All the controls and gauges are well detailed and are in prefect working order.

The car’s mechanical aspect was certainly not overlooked either. Engine and transmission were rebuilt and function perfectly. The well running engine produces that typical 4-cylinder boxer engine sound. 75 Ps may not seem a whole heap in todays money. Weighing just 935 kg the Porsche 356B is even now still a remarkably nibble car. The transmission works perfectly and has the right kind of gear ratios that suit the engine’s character. With its new suspension this 356B handles as well as you would expect from Porsche.

In short this lovely Porsche 356B 1600S not only looks the part but provides a most enjoyable ride as well. It is more than suitable to take on long trips or present at car shows. This is Turn-key Porsche 356B pleasure at its best.
