The Plymouth GTX, the end of an era. In 1967 the first Plymouth GTX was launched. Its goal? An ideal mix of style and performance. The GTX could be recognised by its special grille, racing striping, air intake and a rear end that we had seen once before. Namely, that of the Satellite. Secretly, the car had a whole different purpose than an ideal mix of style and performance. The Plymouth GTX 440 had to compete against 'the big boys'. Like the Camaro SS, Mustang Shelby and the Dodge Charger. Because let's face it, air vents, racing stripes and Mopar... It says it all.

In 1971, they decided in St. Louis to give the car a new look and that's how the Fuselage was born. This model had much rounder lines and was the direct result of continuous aero testing that Chrysler had been involved in. It proved its worth on the NASCAR circuit where this design led Richard Petty to 21 crown victories and the very first Winston Cup title of that season.

Our fuselage is originally from Germany and was brought to the Netherlands in 2015 to drive the neighbourhood crazy. Underneath the 'Power Bulge' is a 375 HP Plymouth 440 7.2 litre Mopar V8, also known as the 'Super Commando 440'. She has recently been fully serviced by the specialist and is ready to be let loose on the streets. Will we see you soon?

Der Plymouth GTX, das Ende einer Ära. Im Jahr 1967 wurde der erste Plymouth GTX auf den Markt gebracht. Ihr Ziel? Eine ideale Mischung aus Stil und Leistung. Der GTX war an seinem speziellen Kühlergrill, den Rennstreifen, dem Lufteinlass und einem Heck zu erkennen, das wir schon einmal gesehen hatten. Nämlich die des Satelliten. Insgeheim verfolgte das Auto einen ganz anderen Zweck als eine ideale Mischung aus Stil und Leistung. Plymouth musste gegen die "großen Jungs" antreten. Wie der Camaro SS, der Mustang Shelby und der Dodge Charger. Denn seien wir mal ehrlich, Lüftungsschlitze, Rennstreifen und Mopar... Das sagt alles.

1971 beschloss man in St. Louis, dem Auto ein neues Aussehen zu geben, und so wurde der Fuselage geboren. Dieses Modell hatte wesentlich rundere Linien und war das direkte Ergebnis der kontinuierlichen Aerotests, an denen Chrysler beteiligt war. Er bewährte sich in der NASCAR-Szene, wo dieses Design Richard Petty zu 21 Siegen und dem ersten Winston-Cup-Titel der Saison verhalf.

Unser Rumpf stammt ursprünglich aus Deutschland und wurde 2015 in die Niederlande gebracht, um die Nachbarschaft verrückt zu machen.
