The Plymouth Barracuda, an answer to the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvair Monza. The people who at the time called themselves the 'shot callers' at Plymouth, wanted to call this car the Panda. An idea that didn't go down with the designers. Fortunately, they quickly came up with the current name (a bit tougher); the Barracuda.

The first generation of Barracuda was produced from 1964 to 1966. A technical tour de force; due to the design, Plymouth entered into a partnership with Pittsburgh Plate Glass. This was to realize the large curved rear window. At the time, the largest rear window that was produced for a production car.

The Barracuda was equipped with three different engines. The 2.8, 3.7 and the 4.5 liters. Ours does everything to get rid of its 'pony-car' title, because it has been given the largest possible source of power. The Formula S, the 237 cubic inches large V8 with double carburetor has 235 hp and is clearly heard.

In addition to the performance and beautiful design, this Barracuda is also much more unique than a Mustang. During the production of the Barracuda mk1 ('64 -'66), 126,538 Mustangs were made, where only 23,443 Barracudas rolled off the band (of which even fewer V8s).

In 1966 the Barracuda received a facelift, making our model the most wanted model year of the Barracuda. The V logo made way for the barracuda fish on the tailgate and the bumpers and rear lights fitted in better with the whole. This Barracuda has recently been fully utilized and bolt restored and completely constructed with original and high-quality materials. With its new condition, color composition and history, this is a true Cool Classic!

Das V-Logo machte Platz für den Barrakudafisch an der Heckklappe und die Stoßstangen und Rücklichter passten besser zum Ganzen. Dieser Barracuda wurde kürzlich vollständig genutzt und restauriert und komplett aus originalen und hochwertigen Materialien hergestellt. Mit seinem neuen Zustand, seiner Farbkomposition und seiner Geschichte ist dies ein echter Cooler Klassiker!
