Delivered new in June 1990, this Peugeot 205 GTI is presented in its original Peugeot (MOTW) graphite grey metallic colour, its paintwork shows only minor age-related defects but is very good overall; only the bumper plastics have a tendency to whiten as on many examples but are not cracked. The half-velvet, half-quartet upholstery is also in good condition with no tears or sagging and perfectly dresses the characteristic bright red carpets that have kept all their original shine.
Equipped with a Pioneer radio, a period option, the dashboard is still very fresh, supplanted by the three-spoke steering wheel which is still in good condition.
The 1580cc engine is powerful and behaves well, it seems to deliver its original 115 horsepower and gives the driver a good driving experience. The important asset of this 205 GTI is its manual sunroof which uncovers a large part of the roof and almost takes the game of a Targa.
With service invoices dating back to 2006, the Peugeot 205 GTI has had its clutch kit and water pump replaced in 2018; a mechanical overhaul will be carried out to ensure that the vehicle will continue to function.
