1980 - Peugeot 104 ZS Gr.2

The 104 ZS we are offering for sale is a genuine Group 2 car which competed in the Peugeot Rally Trophy in Italy from 1981-1983. Its 1452cc engine developing 145bhp was prepared by Laurent Brozzi, a well-known tuner who specialised in competition versions of the 104 ZS and worked directly with Peugeot. It is fitted with a four-speed gearbox with ratios set up for mountain work and a limited-slip differential. During our road test, we found the car to be in its original condition, in its period livery and with stickers from many of the events in which it had taken part. The 104 is complete, with its original bucket seats, racing harnesses, roll cage and additional spotlights. The bodyshell is perfectly sound. The car has never been involved in an accident and shows only a few signs of wear and tear inherent in its use in rallying. Significant reconditioning work has been carried out on the mechanical components. The complete braking system (discs, pads, calipers, master cylinder and brake lines) is new. The same goes for the running gear (universal joints, ball joints and bearings). The engine and gearbox have been removed and overhauled to as-new condition. Many other new parts have been fitted to ensure that the car drives perfectly, including the clutch, flywheel, radiator, fuel pump, carburettor, battery, coil, distributor and starter motor. The car goes every bit as well as it did in period and asks only to start out on another special stage!
